At some point they changed the bolt from the traditional benjamin shaped bolt - which looks like the bolt was just bent 90 degrees, to the chrome sheridan shaped bolt, in which the turn down is more abrupt and looks machined.įor example, my benjamin 342 serial number 250193 has a sheridan shaped bolt - except that the end of the bolt is a more distinct 'ball' shape, whereas the sheridan bolt terminated in a more gradual pear shape.
